Whether you’ve come in for compost, a new pot, or a trolley full of plants, the best part is often the pause. Shakespeare’s Café is here for that moment — a warm welcome, something delicious, and a chance to slow down before you head back out into the world.
What’s on the menu
We serve breakfast, hot lunches and family-friendly favourites — with plenty of choice for different diets too.
Breakfast
From Eggs Royale and a Full English, to pancake stacks, porridge with honey, and more.
Hot Lunches
From toasted sandwiches and jacket potatoes, to dishes like vegetarian gnocchi with courgette & wild mushroom, salmon fishcakes with hollandaise, and gammon with egg or pineapple (or both, if you like).
Specials & Sundays
We always have a specials board of really tasty meals, snacks and seasonal favourites. On Sundays, look out for our Roast Dinner of the Day with all the trimmings.
Alongside our wide selection of soft drinks and hot drinks, we also have a handpicked collection of beers and wines to enjoy with your meal — chosen by our team as favourites and seasonal specials.
Everyone’s welcome
We cater for a range of dietary needs, from gluten-free to vegan — and yes, we even have a doggy menu for your pooch. (We ask you to keep your dog under control and not on the chairs as a courtesy to other guests)
We’re making it even better
The café is already a favourite stop for many visitors — and we’re still working on the next chapter, improving the feel, comfort and light of the space as we go. Thanks for being part of the journey.
