Cherry Laurel (Prunus laurocerasus) is an evergreen shrub or small tree that belongs to the Rosaceae family. It is native to regions of Asia and Europe and is widely cultivated as an ornamental plant in gardens and parks. The leaves of cherry laurel are glossy, dark green, and leathery, and the plant produces fragrant white flowers in spring, followed by small black or red cherry-like fruits. Cherry Laurel is also used for it's dense foliage to create hedges and screens.
