Protecting your security
If you use a service offered by our Website which requires a payment, to ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases. By accepting the Terms you consent to such checks being made. Where appropriate, the personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information for payment clearance, credit reference, order fulfilment, delivery, data analysis or customer support. You can rest assured that this is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected.
We may need to disclose your personal data where we are under a legal duty to comply with any legal obligation or in order to enforce or apply our Terms and other agreements. We may also need to disclose it to protect our rights, property or safety of our customers or others which includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Where you become a member of the Website, you will be required to provide your real name, trading name, some details about your business and contact details (which are your “personal data”). By submitting this information you consent to our use of the information in accordance with this Policy as amended from time to time. We gather this information to allow us to process your request. The relevant information is then used by us to provide you with the service you have requested and to communicate with you on any matter relating to the provision of the service in general.
We may also use aggregate information and statistics for the purposes of monitoring the Website usage in order to help us develop the Website and our service and may provide such aggregate information to third parties. These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify any individual.

When contacting us via telephone, our digital phone system will identify and display your phone number on our desktop phones, unless you have caller ID switched off or hidden. All desktop phones are positioned so only members of staff can view the display. Our digital phone system has a digital logging system that stores the details of all incoming and outbound calls to the centre. We use the logging system to monitor customer service levels and staff performance and also to return calls to unanswered callers. No phone data is stored or shared with any third party, other than our service provider for the purpose of service provision, invoicing and generating an itemised bill of usage. If you do not wish for your phone number to be displayed or recorded by our phone system, please switch off caller ID or contact your service provider to block your caller ID from being displayed.
CCTV recordings are used for public safety interests and the prevention and detection of crime. Recordings also provide enforcement agencies with evidence of criminal activity, for formal actions including prosecutions in court and identification of offenders in investigations. These recordings contain images of the public going about their daily business as well as offenders, persons wanted and missing. The CCTV database is also shared with Insurance Companies when authorised by the Data Protection and Compliance Team.
The database also documents the location, time, date, and offender details including name, physical description and relevant Police data. We will record and share details and activities relating to those suspected of criminal offences under investigation.
Information will be shared with CCTV operators, Trading Standards, HMRC, Police Forces, Fire and Rescue Services and, when authorised, Insurance Companies.
CCTV images are held for 30 days for non-requested footage, and 6 months for any footage requested and secured. CCTV database information is held for 3 years.

When you access the secure pages of our Website your browser will be provided with an electronic certificate confirming that you have accessed our Website and all communications will be encrypted. When you become a member and/or use the Website services that is then passed on to the relevant destination using the same level of encryption, this includes credit card verification. Firewalls are used to block unauthorised traffic to the servers and the actual servers are located in a secure location which can only be accessed by authorised personnel.
