What are Vinca?

Vinca is a genus of flowering plants in the family Apocynaceae. They are commonly known as periwinkles or creeping myrtles and are native to Europe, North Africa, and southwestern Asia.

1. Vinca minor (common periwinkle) - a low-growing evergreen groundcover with blue or purple flowers.

4. Vinca rosea (Madagascar periwinkle) - a tropical species with pink, red, or white flowers that is commonly grown as an annual. It is also used in traditional medicine to treat diabetes and cancer.
5. Vinca herbacea (woodland periwinkle) - a herbaceous perennial with blue or white flowers that is native to Europe.
